  The Helmsman compass line which consists of the SS-1000, HF-72, HF-73, HB-70, HB-71, HD-74, HD-75 are fully repairable compasses. When a Helmsman comes into our shop for service it gets completely disassembled, each re-usable part gets cleaned, the pivot and jewel get inspected and replaced if needed, the clear dome, gaskets, diaphram are all replaced. The result is a compass that is covered by our exclusive 2 year warranty and looks and performs like new again at a fraction of the cost of replacement. The standard cost for this service is $145.00.
