A “telltale” compass is not a new idea, but for some years there has been no reasonably priced model on the market. We are therefore happy to introduce a new model! Our new Commodore TELLTALE Compass gives the skipper an eye on the boat’s heading, even from his/her bunk. Like all “telltale” models it is designed to be mounted overhead and read from underneath. While your vessel is underway, the TELLTALE shows what the magnetic course being steered is. At anchor at night, it reports changes in heading as your boat responds to wind or current changes, thus helping to warn of possible problems with the ground tackle or dangerous proximity to other boats. Solidly constructed of brass, copper and bronze, the TELLTALE is guaranteed a full 3 years. It comes as shown with a polished brass gimbal ring and a mounting bracket.
